The Special Steel facilities include Blast Furnace with capacity to produce 225,000 TPA Hot Metal / Pig Iron, Sponge Iron Plant with 300,000 TPA Sponge Iron / DRI 500,000 TPA Steel Melting Shop (SMS) and 500,000 TPA Bar & Wire Rod Mill.

The Bar & Wire Rod Mill has a capacity to produce different sizes of Bars (20 mm to 63 mm dia), and Wire Rods (5.5 mm to 20 mm dia).

The Ferro Chrome facilities include a 150,000 TPA High Carbon Ferro Chrome Plant with a 75 MW Captive Power Plant. VISA Steel has 6 Submerged Arc Furnaces at Kalinganagar with 3x25 MW Power Generating Units to meet part of the requirement of Power for Ferro Chrome production.

Chrome Ore & Concentrates is sourced from Odisha Mining Corporation, Tata Steel and Misrilal Mines. The Plant is located only 35 kms away from the Sukinda Valley (India's major Chrome Ore belt) and is in close proximity to Port (for exports of Ferro Chrome).
